I find much of what you are saying to be the case in other creative fields as well. No one wants to say they don't like something. They have to find something morally dubious about the work or author and then attempt a character assassination. This seems to be the case in music especially right now. The irony is the listener/reader/consumer who does this is actually revealing something morally lacking in themselves.

Thanks for a thought provoking article.

you're still a brain poisoned twitter addict cancel culture crank and you skipped over Israel without mentioning people being fired for pro-Palestinian sentiments? that you think you could call for the *destruction* of Israel and get a mainstream media job shows how warped your information diet is, my dude.

Brother, there’s multiple employed pros who have gone juuuust about that far. One of us isn’t paying attention, but it’s not me. If you haven’t witnessed a massive flip in sentiment, you’re alone. And not for nothing, you come off like a fucking loon assuming I’m making a judgement one way or the other. I’m reporting that change as part of a larger point, don’t bring your bullshit to me. Keep it to twitter.

i'm off twitter cause it understandably drives people like you and me insane. it's frankly shocking how you haven't evolved a millimeter in the degree to which you warp most of your brain space and political reaction around how a fraction of the internet (much less human beings in general) and the political landscape behaves and the language they use. twitter still leaks out into the real world, but you look like the crank with a cardboard sign yelling at three other cranks with a cardboard sign. mark wahlberg?? jesus christ what a sad thing to let occupy your brain. 2015 called and it wants its anti social justice warrior obsession back.

Who are you talking to? I’m in Spain playing music. I don’t understand what your perception of me is. And what is an anti-social justice warrior obsession? I don’t understand what your grievance is or why you thought you could drive by my page with this nonsense. You are sad I didn’t say that being pro-Palestine can cost you a job? I’m sorry, that’s not the case in comics at the moment which is the field I work in. Maybe finance or landscaping or whatever the fuck, it’s different. But here, in the space I know a lot about, I’m telling you what we’re all seeing. I added no partisan lens to it when I said it and I’m not now.
